FAQs

Do I need any previous experience?
All courses are designed for beginners. Class sizes are managed to ensure you get the appropriate tuition to make your piece while still getting the full hands-on workshop experience.

Is there an age limit?
All blacksmithing classes are currently restricted to 16 years plus.

Injuries, strength or fitness may limit my ability to blacksmith, can I still get involved? Although the blacksmithing process is labour intensive, there are some ways to tailor the course to make sure everyone can have a go. Email me so we can make a course that'll work for you.

Do you sell vouchers? No, you can only book and pay once you know the date. This prevents me from holding money for a huge number of gift card holders which I may not be able to fulfil with the limited number of classes I run.

Are there more class dates? Dates will be listed in the description of class pages. Scrolling though the calendar weeks and selecting each date will show the availability of each class. If they are all sold out? Sign up to the newsletter to receive notifications of seasonal class releases throughout the year.

Can I make a larger knife? After a huge number of customers have been through the course, I have settled on a knife size that is achievable by everyone within the one-day format. It is a very usable size and sure to be something you are proud of.

The new mini-chefs class allows a larger knife. Great if you have already done one class and looking to add to the collection. This class has a maximum of two persons
